Because this is my favorite American Idol performance ever (and I’ve seen every episode)… plus, Jennifer’s facials are hilarious =p
My pet peeve, by the way, is people saying Filipinos like Jessica Sanchez JUST because she’s Filipino. Well, I like her because she’s amazing. And I liked her even before AI. But what’s so wrong in supporting your own people? I can talk forever about this, but I’ll try to keep it short. Growing up, I was discriminated against. People would make slanted eyes towards me, say “ching chong chang,” call me “Jackie Chan” and etc. I was ashamed of my Asian ethnicity. I wanted to be white. Who was Asian on television that wasn’t Jackie Chan, Jet Li, or the pink power ranger?
Of course I grew out of being ashamed of my culture and started to appreciate it and love it. And once I started seeing Asians/Filipinos on television, naturally I’d be proud and support them. I can name almost every Asian that has been on AI, starting from Jordan Segundo in Season 1, and then Jasmine and Camile in Season 3… Jose Penala, Ramiele Malubay, etc. These days it’s more common to see Asian Americans on television, and it’s nice. I don’t see any wrong in supporting them—as long as they are talented and deserve the support. Jessica Sanchez is obviously talented, and sure, she might not have been your cup of tea, but don’t put down Filipinos for supporting her. What’s the point? But that’s just where I’m coming from.
Anyways, congrats to Philip. Jessica will be just fine. She’s talented, and she held her own next to Jennifer freaken Holliday. Not everyone can do that. She’s only 16 too. She’s got a long career ahead of her.

When you’re with them.. all of a sudden life isn’t so stressful anymore..
They motivate you..
To accomplish things you never thought you would…
To face your fears…
And do things you were too scared to try…
You become curious and you explore (many times at Disneyland)
And yea, sometimes you’ll fall… but for god sakes, don’t be too hard on yourself.
Because when things get tough, the people who care about you will always be by your side.
Just work hard…
Be a good role model…
And take care of the people you care about.
Remember to have fun…
Be a slut for a night…
Because life is TOO SHORT to dwell on things that will just hold you back.
Go out and make money.
But just remember to spend it only on IMPORTANT things.
And remember that your happiness comes first.
